Commissions

Thank you for your interest in commissioning me!
I create amigurumi people, which I am developing a pattern for that will be on my Etsy page. They are absolutely adorable!

They also take a long time to make.
This is why I can only make one at a time. I wish I could make multiple! However, in an attempt to preserve my physical and mental wellbeing, that is the current pace I am able to operate at.
For inquiries, please email me at allyghumphries@icloud.com.
Don't be afraid to ask! I am happy to create anything within reason.
Commission Policy
By making an inquiry for a commission, you agree to the policies listed below.
- I have the right to refuse any commission for any reason.
- Commission process:
- The client must contact me through email to inquire about a commission. I will not take Etsy DMs / general DMs / phone messages.
- I will respond to the inquiry with a price, as well as the estimated time it will take for me to complete the commission. This estimate is as I have said: only an estimate. The actual product may take longer to make. In this case, I will give advance notice that it may or may not take me longer to finish.
- The client may then accept or refuse the commission. If the commission is refused, nothing else must be done on the client's end.
- If the commission is accepted, I will give the client my PayPal information and amount to be collected as a down payment, and they will then submit the payment through PayPal. The commission process will not continue and I will not start work on the product until this down payment is received.
-
At this point, I will begin work on the commission. Upon finishing the commissioned doll's body and hair, I will follow up with the client including a photo of my work in progress, including proof of date and time, and the commission in question being for the client. Also in this follow-up email, I will remind the client of the remaining amount to be paid, and they then can accept and pay, request a minor alteration, or decline to move forward with the process.
- Note: If the client changes their mind at this point, they cannot change their mind again. I will not hold the work in progress just in case they do. The body and hair of the commission may be recycled for further commissions. This will not affect the quality of the final product of those commissions.
- Note: Because of the method I use for creating the hair, changes to its length cannot be made easily. If this is a necessary alteration, it may add additional time to the commission process. Please bear this in mind when making the alteration request.
- Once the work in progress has gained approval, I will finish the commission by creating its clothes and embroidering any requested details. I will also dress the doll as part of the finishing process.
- Once the commissioned item is complete, I will send another photo to the client, as well as the tracking number for their shipment.
- Payment:
- I use PayPal for payment. It offers buyer protection, and is generally safe for making purchases and transferring money.
- I will not take transfers from other apps. (CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, etc.) This is both for the client's safety and mine.
- About 50% of the commission price is collected as a down payment at time of agreement. This down payment is refundable at any time, should the client no longer wish for the commission, up until the work in progress is approved and the rest of the payment is collected. After that, everything is locked in and non-refundable.
- DO NOT FILE A CHARGEBACK. Doing so will immediately void the commission. If the client wishes for a refund during the period for which that is allowed, I will send you the money back. Filing a chargeback causes a lot of unnecessary strain on the merchant, and I will likely refuse future commissions for the client in question.
- I ship commissioned dolls through USPS (United States Postal Service). A valid shipping address must be provided with the second half of the commission payment. The shipping cost is covered in the commission price.
- Things I will not do:
- Give the doll sexual characteristics underneath its clothes.
- Create risqué / excessively revealing clothing for dolls of people and / or characters implied to be minors (less than 18 years of age).
- This includes, but is not limited to bikinis and lingerie.
- Create dolls of non-humanoid characters.
- This includes, but is not limited to:
- Non-humanoid robots and / or Transformers.
- Regular and / or anthropomorphic animals (furries).
- I am not against creating dolls of these characters, but I have never attempted to do so, and I would not like to give a client a botched product.
- Create dolls of historical figures and / or celebrities.
- Use patterns provided by the client.
- I have my own pattern that I use for these dolls.
- Things I will do:
- Create dolls based off of characters with minor animal characteristics (nose, ears, tail).
- Create accessories for the doll (maximum of 3).
